The much awaited Third Annual Sports Meet was held on Saturday, 07 September 2019.The occasion was graced by Dr.Rohini Rau, a Senior Resident at Cauvery Hospital and Asian Gold Medalist-Sailing.
The day was a fun-filled fest of energy, laughter and delight as students presented and participated in various activities under the eager eyes of everyone.
This year the Christmas project was a Brownie Sale. The children were given a basic recipe for eggless brownies. They worked in pairs and came up with some creative and inventive brownies. They were involved in the entire process from advertising their brownies through posters, budgeting and purchasing, baking, selling and account keeping.
The children were taken to The Farm, Semmenchery. They were excited to see the barn, coop and stable. They fed the hens, cocks, turkeys, goats, goat kids, cows, calves and horses. They also got an opportunity to touch and pet some of them. They walked along rice fields. They were shown how to mix compost and sand and prepare a bed for vegetable planting.
The Elementary Open Day was conducted on Nov 1, 2019. The elementary children enthusiastically presented their projects to parents and visitors. Many of them also showed how they work with Montessori materials. The children of the Primary Environment came with their teachers and observed the projects eagerly.
